The Gila Wilderness
As a photographer and backpacker, I have traveled the Gila wilderness for almost two decades. The Gila wilderness is located in southwest corner of New Mexico surrounded by the Gila national forest. The wilderness area is a land of contrasts, from valleys with cold, spring fed streams to soaring mountains. It is a magical place, a place to find yourself.
Always remember, when you visit the Gila or any other wild place, to tread softly and leave no trace. The wilderness is fragile.
